What You Can Expect Day-to-Day:
As a Shipping Clerk, you'll own and execute the following duties:
Primary Duties:
- Receiving all deliveries into the ERP system.
- Verifying counts of deliveries against their pack slips.
- Prepare bills of lading and check items to be shipped against work orders to verify that quantity, destination, and routing are correct.
- Compares information on packing slip of outbound shipments with purchase order to verify accuracy of shipment, may process return shipments from customers.
- Sort, count, package, and label if necessary.
- Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety standards.
Secondary Duties:
- Inspects shipments for damages or defects; records discrepancies or damages and notifies supervisor and/or purchasing personnel.
- Assists in scanning outbound shipments using truckload software & scanning cart.
- May operate dolly, pallet jack, and/or forklift in loading and unloading supplies and equipment; may operate shrink-wrap equipment.
- Leads, guides, and trains employees performing related work.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Required:
- Knowledge and skills in processing UPS/FedEx paperwork.
- Experience working with barcode scanners.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional time management and organizational skills.
- Computer skills and accuracy when recording shipment data.
- Strong work ethic, self-motivated, and the ability to achieve in a demanding environment.
- Professionalism with a positive attitude.
- Dependable and punctual.
- To ensure safety, drug screening and background check required.
