We are looking for a dependable, hands-on Team Lead to help keep our production floor running safely, efficiently, and on schedule. In this role, you will lead and support a team of 20+ employees, including temporary team members, while working closely with the Production Supervisor to maintain daily workflow, productivity, quality, and team accountability.
Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 4:30 PM – 3:00 AM.
Additional Hours: Occasional Friday hours may be required based on customer and production needs.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead and support a team of 20+ full-time and temporary employees.
- Set the standard for safety, quality, cleanliness, and organization on the production floor.
- Communicate daily priorities, assignments, and production expectations to the team.
- Monitor workflow and team performance throughout the shift.
- Train and assist with onboarding new employees to ensure they understand their responsibilities and expectations.
- Coach employees on daily performance, attendance, safety, quality, and work practices.
- Communicate employee concerns, production issues, and performance updates to management.
- Support the Production Supervisor with daily staffing and production needs.
- Help identify and resolve issues that may affect production, quality, safety, or efficiency.
- Promote a positive, respectful, and accountable team environment.
- Lead by example and maintain a hands-on presence on the production floor.
What You Bring:
We are looking for someone who is dependable, organized, and confident leading people in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- 1+ year of Team Lead or manufacturing leadership experience.
- Compression molding experience is a plus.
- Strong leadership, communication, organization, and time-management skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and remain calm under pressure.
- Positive, professional, self-motivated, and dependable.
- Ability to understand and follow company policies, procedures, safety requirements, production targets, and staffing needs.
- Ability to communicate effectively with management, Account Coordinators, and team members regarding customer needs and department priorities.
- Ability to identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Experience with Microsoft Teams and SharePoint is preferred.
- Experience with an MRP system, including issuing, returning, salvaging, transferring, and receiving materials into inventory.
- Basic HR-related experience is preferred, including interviewing, attendance management, employee documentation, conflict resolution, injury response, and safety training.
- Ability to successfully complete required pre-employment screenings.
